POSITION TITLE: Camp Operations Assistant
REPORTING TO: Project Coordinator, Lead Case Manager
DURATION: LTE through August 30th
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, $22/hour

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day camp operations across three days each week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
- Coordinate food logistics:
- Pick up food from various partners
- Remove unusable items and organize food storage.
- Pack and label food items (29-item distribution) for camper use.
- Assist in managing donations:
- Sort, organize, and determine usability of incoming items.
- Retrieve supplies from the storage unit as needed.
- Maintain the trailer (where we keep supplies for campers) and ensure effective storage of donations.
- Help sort donations and prepare essentials for campers moving out.
- Provide transportation to campers for weekly outings:
- Food pantries, meals, laundry, stores and more.
- Communicate any supply needs or material gaps to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
CURRENT WEEKLY SCHEDULE (subject to change):
- Monday (9.5 hours)
- 8:30am: Food pick-up
- 12:30pm: Laundry
- 4:00pm: Weekly outing camper transport
- Wednesday (6 hours)
- 10:00am: Organize and sort donations, retrieve supplies from storage if needed
- 11:30am: Weekly outing camper transport
- 1:45pm: Camper transport to Walmart/food pantry
- Friday (8.5 hours)
- 8:30am: Food pick-up
- 11:45am: Weekly outing camper transport
- 2:00pm: Laundry
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfort with physical tasks including lifting, sorting, and driving.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Google Suite and mobile navigation tools.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow policies.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or lived experience with homelessness is a plus.
- Ability to effectively de-escalate difficult situations.
- Valid driver’s license and comfort transporting individuals.
